At Asian Absolute, we're proud to have a dedicated team of talented professionals who work hard to make sure our clients get the best service possible.

One such person is Ya-Lien, who joined the Asian Absolute team in January 2008. Ya-Lien has impressed us all by building strong relationships with our customers and suppliers, and with the Beijing team, thanks to her excellent language skills.

"Customers in Asia have similar expectations to those in Europe - the main difference is how we go about achieving our goals. I find this a very interesting challenge," she says of her role.

"I'm focused on delivering a high quality project, on time, every time. That's my utmost priority here at Asian Absolute."

Originally from Taiwan, Ya-Lien came to the UK to complement her Masters in Applied Linguistics by studying a Masters in Bilingual Translation (Chinese-English), focusing on the use of computer assisted translation tools. Since completing her Masters, she's taken on a number of roles within the translation industry, including localisation and quality assurance for an online gaming company.

She's been on the other side too, with previous roles at a number of successful international companies in areas ranging from electronics and telecommunications to the automotive industry. Having prepared and presented marketing materials for a wide variety of campaigns, Ya-Lien brings a wealth of experience to the table.

In her spare time, Ya-Lien enjoys travelling and learning about new cultures. She also likes cooking for her friends, and making new contacts through her blog.
