Tabara Dramé brings Arabic expertise to Asian AbsoluteThe introduction of new language services as part of its steady expansion has been a logical step for Asian Absolute for some time. The recent arrival of Tabara Dramé, an experienced localisation manager with Arabic skills among other languages, marks the next stage of this development. The incorporation of new languages to the Asian Absolute line-up is a response to ongoing client demand. As Asian Absolute consolidated their position as the UK’s Asian experts, clients began to comment on the lack of a similarly reliable service dedicated to Middle Eastern and Indian sub-continental languages. With many multinationals coordinating their Middle East and Asia strategies in concert, Asian Absolute’s decision to provide a one-stop service in these languages has been widely welcomed. Tabara Dramé joins as an account manager with the London team, where she will look after a number of high-profile accounts as well as overseeing the roll-out of new languages. Tabara’s background has primarily been with generalist agencies offering all world languages, servicing accounts such as Hewlett Packard and BP. She previously worked at the multilingual agency Wordbank, and gained exposure to the Asian languages at a large agency headquartered in Bangkok. Tabara is originally from Senegal and has studied translation in Paris and London. As well as her main languages of English, Arabic, French and Wolof (the native language of Senegal), she speaks Spanish plus some Italian and Portuguese. Her experience of moving between different languages gives her a deep understanding of the localisation needs of her clients. Tabara’s arrival comes as part of a significant recruitment drive within Asian Absolute, which reflects the growing demand from around the world for the company’s localisation services. Managing director Henry Clough remarks “This is an exciting stage of our growth. The whole team has taken great satisfaction in providing new levels of quality for the East Asian languages, yet we sympathise with clients who complain that they can’t get quality in other challenging languages. I have no doubt that Tabara will further enhance our range of expertise, and I am delighted that we are now able to offer our clients peace of mind in Arabic.” 15 May 2006 For further information and supporting photos, please contact press@asianabsolute.co.uk
