Rose Wang, Vendor Manager in Beijing

Rose has the challenging task of identifying and developing Asian Absolute's network of resources, in particular translators. The company's insistence on quality work means that she is able to accept only the very best linguists, yet she is responsible for ensuring that capacity stays ahead of ever-expanding client demand.
Working closely with the London and Beijing Operations teams, Rose also works on the allocation of specific projects to external linguists. She has been the mastermind behind many of the teams that have managed to complete very large projects within seemingly impossible timelines.
Tasked with managing and monitoring the performance of several thousand vendors, Rose quickly became an advanced user of Asian Absolute's Project Management Database (PMDB). As well as comprehensive details of all projects, the PMDB contains our vendor database. Project managers are required to record feedback scores and comments for each individual task assigned to a vendor, providing Rose with both high level and detailed reports that she uses to assess the performance of individual vendors.
"With time you get to know the best suppliers well", says Rose, "and you know exactly who to use for specific projects. This means that you can place projects more quickly, with peace of mind about quality and timely deliveries. It's very rewarding to know that I'm facilitating the Project Managers' work by helping them meet their clients' deadlines and requirements."
Rose completed a degree in Business Administration in Harbin, a city in the far north of China famous for its annual Ice and Snow Festival.
After graduating Rose moved into a career as a Human Resources generalist, before specialising in recruitment. She joined Asian Absolute from Novartis, the Swiss healthcare company, where she was working as a recruiter.
In her spare time Rose enjoys reading and travelling. She enjoys discovering the unique character of each new destination; most recently she visited South West China, which she found remarkably different to the parts of Northern China where she has lived.
